Online Marketing Made Simple

Reflections on 2017 and looking ahead to 2018

2017 has been a busy year for me, both personally and professionally. My travels took me all over the country this year. From water ski and cycling competitions to family reunions and celebrations, I put some miles in on the road and in the sky. It’s always fun to visit old friends and meet new ones along the way. I’m very grateful for the ability to travel and work from the road – although working while literally on the road isn’t so much fun!

CorvetteMike.com Launched New Website

Among all that fun and travel time, there was a fair amount of work on my plate as well. I did a major overhaul on our CorvetteMike.com site, switching the platform over to WordPress. Months were spent on not only the development of the site, but refreshing the layout, content and images.

Once the Corvette Mike site went live, we shifted our focus to promotion and find tuning of our SEO strategy. Anyone familiar with that knows that it is a long, on-going process. If you’re not familiar with SEO strategy, it is a long, on-going process. There are no shortcuts, workarounds or tricks. It’s time and hard work. But it does pay off and we’re seeing the benefits of that now.

Looking forward to 2018 brings a lot of excitement and opportunity. I’m working on my time-management skills so that I can balance my regular workload with additional education and learning opportunities. Digital marketing in its various forms is in a state of continual change. It’s exciting and overwhelming all at once. I’m currently taking some online courses that focus on current marketing techniques and search engine optimization. I’ve found some fantastic blogs that are worth sharing plus new tips and techniques that I think are of value.

2017 brought tragedy to many people. My prayers go out to those who have suffered loss this past year. May they find peace and hope in the New Year.

Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy holiday season and a prosperous New Year!
