Happy Fall Y’All!
Well the holidays are almost here once again. I’ll spare you the “I can’t believe how quickly Christmas comes around” comments because it’s the same thing every year, right? Time goes by quickly.
This year has been one marred with tragedy for so many people. Natural disasters, mass shootings, horrible destruction in people’s lives. The one thing that we have seen throughout these tragedies is the goodness that exists in people. People helping one another. I certainly hope that we can embrace that sentiment going into the new year.
I’d like to encourage you to do something for others in need this holiday season. There are plenty of food drives, toy drives, blood drives… take a moment to donate, give and spread the word. Also, let’s spread some kindness towards one another. Patience while driving (which I desperately need), maybe put $5 towards the person’s order in line behind you at Starbucks – people at the one in Henderson, NV seem to make a habit of that – it’s awesome! But let’s try to be better humans.
A couple of upcoming community events that I’m involved with:
Project Hero’s Honor Ride Las Vegas – Saturday November 11th
Project Hero Honor Rides are popular single-day, non-competitive cycling events held throughout the nation that let the public ride alongside our Healing Heroes.
Project Hero’s programs have helped more than 10,000 Veterans and First Responders through cycling-based programs and other events since 2008. Project Hero participants record elimination of and decreases in use of prescription drugs of as much as 65 percent, greater injury recovery rates, improved sleep habits and overall improvement in daily life functions. Corvette Mike’s Food Drive & Car Show – Saturday November 18th
Corvette Mike of Anaheim, CA is holding their annual Food Drive and Car show. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to view some beautiful and rare automobiles and help those in need in the local community. Details
